Former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra should complete his takeover of Manchester City within a fortnight. The move to buy the club has left City in limbo and the first thing that the new board will do when, and if, they gain control is to appoint a new manager.
Despite Sevilla saying on Tuesday that there was no way that their coach Juande Ramos would be leaving it is thought that is not as cut and dried he could still be persuaded to move.
Also reportedly on Shinawatra’s wanted list is AZ boss Louis van Gaal and Co Adriaanse, who is set to leave his current club FC Metalurg in the Ukraine.
The worry for City fans is that whoever takes over at the club will be starting his transfer business over a month after everyone else.
